Collection: Bombay Paper

Bombay Paper is a Toronto-based company run by husband and wife duo, Shaheen and Mukesh.

Shaheen's parents emigrated from India in the 60s, to Canada, where Shaheen was raised. Her childhood memories include cultural traditions stemming from her Indian heritage, and her love of this culture brought her to India where she resided for 6 years as an adult.

While living in India, Shaheen discovered an area of South Mumbai she termed "Paper Mecca," where the art of Kagzi handmade paper is still practiced today. She fell in love with how color, heritage, and artistry were woven together to create magical paper artifacts, which she lovingly gifted to friends. Upon returning to Toronto, she desired to bring the craft to a wider audience, and Bombay Paper was born.
